Professional, helpful, and courteous”

New engines for boats don’t come cheaply and replacing an old inboard engine on a yacht can throw up unexpected problems which add to the cost. However, there comes a time when the options are to refurbish, replace or endure increasing uncertainty about the reliability of an old engine. We reached a point with our yacht, “Magic Bus”, at a time when we had the opportunity through retirement to increase the immense enjoyment that the yacht had already given us and our family. After considering an overhaul of our old engine or replacing it with a new one we decided that a new engine would give us the greatest peace of mind. Having had previous experience with Seapower 2006 Ltd we had no hesitation in asking the same company to supply and install the new engine. Bruce, Kristine, Steve, Wayne and everyone else at Seapower with whom we came into contact for the project were professional, helpful, and courteous throughout the whole process, helping us decide the size and type of the new engine through to disposing of the old one and they were a pleasure to work with while the new engine was installed. We can easily recommend Seapower 2006 Ltd to anyone else seeking similar services.

“We have found Seapowers service and skills to be of the highest order”

I would also like to take this opportunity to endorse your services at Seapower. ICA in general and ourselves on our own boat Windflower have been using Seapower for marine and general servicing for the last 8 years. We have found Seapowers service and skills to be of the highest order. Management and staff communicate well with the customer and billing has always been precise, accurate and good value. From an ICA viewpoint, Seapower have done work on many member boats, some on a moments notice and always with a positive outcome. Seapower get both my personal and business tick of approval, thanks to the whole team at Seapower.

“Technicians are professional and exceptionally competent in their areas of expertise”

Briony and I contacted Seapower to repower our yacht at the end of 2011. We found their work to be timely, complete and represent fair value for service. Their technicians are professional and exceptionally competent in their areas of expertise. We have since come in contact with customers of Seapower and are constantly impressed to find they speak highly of both management and employees. The owners try to please all clients and do an excellent job. We will use their services to maintain our boat and have no hesitation in recommending Seapower for all engine and mechanical related work.

“We recommend Seapower with complete confidence”

“Our US flagged sailboat “Destiny” has been based at Opua, Bay of Islands, NZ, since November 2001. Since that time we have made multiple voyages between NZ and the islands of Tonga and Fiji during the cruising season.

After our initial visit to NZ we had difficulty finding a suitable business to undertake mechanical work on our boat. Seapower was recommended to us and we have done business with them exclusively since.

We have found their technicians to be extraordinarily competent, professional, timely and communicative. The business is managed to the highest standards of ethics. The team at Seapower have gained our complete trust. To this point, we have had significant work done in our absence during extended visits home with excellent results.

Seapower has completed all work on time, at budget and with perfect execution. We could not be more pleased with Seapower and recommend them with complete confidence.”

“We are delighted with the service we receive in regard to innovative ideas and advice, and quality and timeliness of work completed”

“Bruce and the Seapower team have looked after the machinery and equipment on board Ilanda – our 50ft steel ketch – for five years now, and project managed her overall maintenance.

We are delighted with the service we receive in regard to innovative ideas and advice, and quality and timeliness of work completed. As well as routine maintenance Seapower have undertaken major engineering refits for us, including a new John Deere main engine installation and 240v generator. The installation work was completed without hassle or surprises and the results have exceeded our expectations for performance.

In 35 years of cruising yacht ownership we have experienced engineers of varying quality throughout the world. The consistent high quality performance, responsiveness and pleasure to do business with at Seapower, comfortably exceeds anything we have ever experienced elsewhere.”
